True story, Jess' passion for Digital Technologies began when she was just 12-years-old and fell in love with a band named Hanson (you may have heard of a little tune called Mmmbop). This obsession prompted her to create a dedicated fan website pushing her to learn HTML coding because as you know, WordPress and GoDaddy templates were non-existent in 1997.
The fire inside never wavered and as new technology and tools began rolling out when she finished her media and communications degree, she was offered a role as a platforms media producer at Yahoo!7 in Sydney where she gained a greater understanding of search engine optimisation, digital marketing, lead generation and data science.
Gaining necessary skills in website rankings, positioning and placement, Jess eventually moved into an optimistation manager role for Seven Media Group, leading search engine marketing and optimisation for publications marie claire, InStyle, Better Homes and Gardens, Womens Health and Practical Parenting.
Love made her leave Sydney and she now calls Adelaide home where she became a Digital Media Manager across street press publications that championed Adelaide's local arts, music, wineries, gastronomy, and fashion scene. There, she developed and lead digital marketing strategies and solutions across search, content, and social media.
Outside of the digital world, she isn’t fond of the kiss hello and prefers a big salad over tuna on toast. She watches far too much basketball and ice hockey but isn’t apologetic for following Boston teams. She is also a member of Sea Shepherd, who strive to conserve, defend and protect our oceans and can often be found wearing knitted jumpers with Orcas or Pandas on them while picking up trash on our beaches.
Her education and credentials include:
Media Communications, Griffith University (2002-2006)
