Physio & Exercise Lab is a single-clinic physiotherapy practice in Perth competing against well-funded multi-site operators. Over 12 months, we deployed a purely organic SEO campaign to:
- Increase patient bookings from 188 to at least 282
- Secure 100 top-3 SERP positions for high-value physiotherapy terms
- Grow monthly organic sessions from 1,019 to at least 6,114
Challenges
Physio & Exercise Lab faced three key obstacles:
- High-competition keywords in general physiotherapy forced head-to-head against national chains

Strategy

- Injury-specific keyword targeting: zeroed in on low-competition, high-intent searches such as “vestibular physio Perth” and “sports rehabilitation Perth” to attract patients seeking specialist care
- EEAT-centric page templates: rolled out ten condition pages per month featuring practitioner credentials, transparent pricing, five client-provided FAQs and clear calls to action
- Hub-and-spoke content model: created targeted blog posts (eg “vestibular physio exercises”) that linked directly to conversion-optimised landing pages, maximising internal link equity
- Technical SEO excellence: achieved Google PageSpeed scores above 90 on mobile and desktop, ensuring fast load times and reduced bounce rates
- Natural link acquisition: published in-depth rehabilitation guides that earned high-quality backlinks, boosting domain authority from 9 to 17
- Google Business Profile optimisation: refined categories, expanded service areas, encouraged reviews and added professional imagery to increase calls and direction requests
Results
The campaign exceeded all targets within 12 months:
- Organic rankings: top-3 positions rose from 9 to 133; tracked keywords grew from 443 to 6,560
- Sessions: monthly organic sessions climbed from 1,019 to 7 340 (+620 %)
- Patient bookings: grew from 188 to 283 (+51 %)
